Renault Scenic E-Tech: More Range, Faster Charging and Smarter Technology

The Renault Scenic E-Tech electric has been significantly enhanced for the 2027 model year with a new 89kWh battery, improved charging performance, revised exterior details, upgraded interior finishes and additional technology as standard.

The updated Scenic E-Tech now offers up to 392 miles of WLTP combined range in techno
specification. The techno esprit Alpine version offers up to 385 miles, while iconic esprit Alpine offers up to 382 miles. All versions use a 160kW / 220hp electric motor producing 300Nm of torque.

Charging has also improved. Using a suitable DC rapid charger, the Scenic E-Tech can charge from
15% to 80% in 28 minutes. Renault says this is nine minutes quicker than before, helping make longer journeys and regular EV use more practical.

The update also brings new exterior touches, including revised front and rear blade finishes, new alloy wheel designs and two new body colours: satin slate blue and exo galaxy grey. Inside, the techno model gains updated upholstery, dashboard details and stitching.

Technology has been improved too, with features such as Smart Mode, a ventilated Qi2 15W wireless
smartphone charger and Google Gemini planned as a future upgrade to Google Assistant.

Why this matters for drivers

Electric vehicles are becoming more advanced, but they still need regular care. Tyres, brakes, suspension, lights, warning messages, software-related faults and MOT items all remain important.

For drivers in Hemel Hempstead, this is a useful reminder that modern cars are not maintenance-free. Whether a vehicle is petrol, diesel, hybrid or electric, regular checks help keep it safe, reliable and ready for the road.
