Renault Trafic Van E-Tech Electric: BuiltAround Business Uptime
The new Renault Trafic Van E-Tech Electric is part of Renault’s next generation of light commercial vehicles, with five new LCVs planned between now and 2028. It has been designed for business users who need practical load-carrying ability, lower running costs and dependable day-to-day operation. Renault says the new Trafic Van E-Tech Electric offers more than 470km of WLTP range, with city range able to reach nearly 690km. That could mean up to five working days without charging in some urban-use conditions.
Fast charging is a major focus. With its 800V electrical architecture, the van can regain up to 280km of range in 20 minutes, rising to as much as 380km in city use.
The van also focuses on practical working conditions. It offers up to 5.8m3 of load capacity, a payload of up to 1.3 tonnes, towing capacity of up to 2 tonnes and enough load space for three Euro pallets. Renault is also developing business-focused support through its uptimize programme, which is designed to use connected vehicle data to reduce downtime and support proactive maintenance.
Why this matters for local businesses
For tradespeople, delivery drivers and small fleets, a van off the road means lost time, missed jobs and extra stress. This is why regular servicing, MOT checks and fast diagnostics are still essential, whatever powers the vehicle.
As commercial vehicles become more connected and more electric, garages will increasingly need to understand both traditional mechanical care and modern diagnostic systems.
